The trend toward more personalized experiences will continue to grow. Whether its native ads or email, content will be less static and more dynamic. Hubspot defines smart content as “content that is intelligently personalized to your customer’s needs.” The ability to dynamically address different personas with different content will continue as a trend in 2018.

  1. Micro Moments

With the growth of the use of mobile devices, and people checking email social media, or push notifications up to 100 times a day, marketers must capture consumers’ attention quickly. In fact, when consumers inquire about something, 96% use their smartphones on the spot. This will impact search tactics, to serve up the right data at the right time, gaining customer trust over the long-term.
