  • Make sure you are using keywords appropriately – not so often that it seems redundant, but just enough so that Google learns what your target keywords are without being overwhelming or repetitive.
  • Develop blog posts or additional content that utilizes specific keywords your target keywords.
  • Perform keyword research: assess keywords to see what keywords you are ranking for, which keywords your competitors rank for, and how many total keywords relate to a specific topic.
  • Optimize images using keywords: make sure that the file name includes relevant keywords, caption text is keyword-rich (or at least contains one or two), alternative tags include keywords/relevant phrases as well as captions in alt tags.
  • Check the URL of each image – it should not contain spaces or numbers if possible.
  • If there’s an opportunity for video content on your site with appropriate relevance and value, create videos with high-quality production values containing targeted keywords within titles, subtitles, descriptions, and other metadata such as social media links.
  • Use Google Analytics and Search Console to get a better idea of how you are ranking and what pages on your website are bringing in the most traffic.
