The Brave, New World in Which Marketers Ply Their Trade

In one of many must-read posts on his popular blog, Micro Persuasion, Steve Rubel (SVP, Director of Insights for Edelman Digital, a division of Edelman – the world’s largest independent PR firm) recently cited The Attention Crash (our impending inability to deal effectively with the surfeit of information in our lives), social networking and ”the rising influence of search, particularly Google” as “trends that will help define the future of PR and marketing.”

 

H-m-m-m…so what are you and your organization doing today to prepare for this brave, new world in which your customers and prospects may not be able to see the forest for the trees?

Are you taking a good, hard look at how you currently engage your constituencies and at least giving consideration to making any necessary – that is, preemptive – course adjustments?
